The President’s Last Day

AAEAAQAAAAAAAAWYAAAAJGNlNWVhNjRjLWY2NTctNDc0MS1iY2U2LTYzMmQ5MTA4MDBjNgI recently attended a Christmas Party and had the typical questions put before me. “Who are you voting for to be our next president, or some such variation.” I then give my standard answer. “I have not seen any one candidate that has exhibited the type of leadership I see as required to lead this great republic; and I have not heard one candidate elaborate a vision or a plan as extensive or brilliant as the 20/20 Vision I wrote in “20/20: A Clear Vision for America.” Extensive and brilliant exist only in my mind until someone disproves it.

The responses are also typical,

“who made you an expert, or what do you know that the politicians or the pundits don’t know, or what are your qualifications?”

My answer is simply this,

“I am not an expert, I am happy that I don’t think like politicians or pundits, and my only qualifications are that I attempt to be a well-informed member of “We the people.”

This led to an unusual response from a lady who told me she was a political science major. She then told me, “you are voting for Trump and he is a racist just like you.”

“Who said I was voting for Donald Trump, I have not decided that, or stated that, and neither he or I are racists from what I can discern.”

“You said you are against immigration in your book, just like Trump is against immigration and refugees. That is racist!”  To which I replied,

“My 20/20 vision is to lock-down all borders and ports until we can identify and sort out who is within our borders and in our republic. Please read the book and then we can have a discussion on my vision.”

That didn’t go over very well either. I’m losing friends faster than I can make them.

Who do you see a leader?” I inquired.

“I am voting for Hilary. She is a leader.” My new friend, who fast became my past friend, then stormed off in a huff.” I was speechless. I had a few questions I wanted to ask her. I don’t know if the questions are valid. That would depend on the answers. So someone please help me. Which questions concerning Mrs. Clinton are valid and which can be answered? I think many of us want to know. I’ll publish the answers in an article.

Now I am going to be accused of hating Mrs. Clinton and women in general. If you have questions about other candidates, send them to me. Hey, I just want to find the best leader to lead us for the next four years. That’s who I will vote for. Stay tuned. And read the book to find out if I am brilliant or not.

Finally, an author who brings you solutions, instead of problems.

Americans have lost faith in their overreaching federal government. “We the People” don’t need to be overregulated or have their taxes misspent. Americans are victims of a crumbling economy, high prices and stagnant wages. They view government as bloated and politicians as corrupt. They do not trust the leadership at any level. They see politicians of both parties as self-centered narcissists whose only objective is re-election. The author is like you, with one principal difference and 20 reasons for optimism. His “Vision” of America is “clear.” It is a vision of the Constitution and America the way it could be, the way it should be. The author’s eyesight is twenty-twenty.
