The UK plus the EU = PU

This is the second article concerning the British Referendum to Bremain or Brexit.

The purpose of these articles are to inform the readers of the costs and benefits of remaining (Bremain) or exiting (Brexit) the European Union. Try to compare this to what is happening in America. Much of the background information was written in the first article:

The principle objectives of Brexit and Bremain are:

Children’s benefits:

Bremain – Migrant workers will still be able to send child benefit payments back to their home country.

Brexit – Mr. Cameron wants to end this practice. However, the payments will be set at a level reflecting the cost of living in their home country rather than the full UK rate.

Migrant welfare payments:

Cameron states a cut in the amount of benefits low paid workers from other EU nations can claim when they take a job in the UK will remove one of the reasons people come to Britain in such large numbers. Critics claim it will make little difference. Cameron did not get the blanket ban he wanted.

Brexit -- New arrivals will not be able to claim tax credits and other welfare payments immediately. They will, however, gradually gain the right to increased benefits the longer they stay, at a rate yet to be decided. (I predict higher.)

Keeping the Pound: Cameron declared Britain will never convert to the Euro. He secured assurances that the Eurozone countries will not discriminate against Britain for having their own currency. British money spent on bailing out Eurozone nations will be reimbursed as well.

Protection for the City of London: Safeguards will be put in place to keep Britain's large financial services industry from having Eurozone regulations imposed on it.

Running its own affairs: For the first time, there will be a clear commitment that Britain is not part of a move towards "ever closer union" with other EU member states, which is one of the core principles of the EU. This will be incorporated in an EU treaty change.

Cameron also secured a "red card" system for national parliaments making it easier for governments to band together to block unwanted legislation. If 55% of national EU parliaments object to a piece of EU legislation it will be rethought. Critics say it is not clear if this would ever be used in practice.

Who wants the UK to leave the EU?

Recent opinion polls indicate the British public are fairly evenly split. The UK Independence Party (UKIP), which won the last European elections received nearly four million votes, or 13 percent of those cast, in May's general election, campaigns for Britain's exit from the EU.

About half of Conservative MPs, including five cabinet ministers, several Labour MPs and the Democrat Unionist Party (DUP) are also in favor of exiting the EU.

Why do they want the UK to leave?

They believe Britain is being held back by the EU, which they say imposes too many rules on business and charges billions of pounds a year in membership fees for little in return. (Does this sound familiar? Think federal government! Think UN!)

They also want Britain to take back full control of its borders and reduce the number of people entering the UK to live and/or work.

One of the principal principles of EU membership is "free movement", which means a person doesn't need a visa to go to, and live in, another EU country. (Does this sound like the “open Border” crowd and illegal immigration?)

They object to the idea of "ever closer union" as well. They see Bremain as moves towards the creation of a "United States of Europe".

imgres-2Who wants the UK to stay in the EU?

Prime Minister David Cameron wants Britain to stay in the EU. Sixteen members of his cabinet support Bremain as well. The Conservative Party has pledged to be neutral in the campaign - but the Labour Party, SNP (Scottish National Party), Plaid Cymru (The Party of Wales, often referred to simply as Plaid, is a social-democratic political party in Wales advocating for an independent Wales from the United Kingdom within the European Union.) and the Liberal Democrats are all in favor of Bremain. (Sounds like a group that wants EU guaranteed handouts paid for by taxpayer pounds.)

US president Barack Obama wants Britain to remain in the EU as well. He is joined by other EU nations such as France and Germany. As mentioned above, according to polls, the British public are evenly split on the issue. (Is this a forerunner of Obama/Clinton things to come to America?)

Why do they want Bremain?

Those campaigning for Britain to stay in the EU state there are many benefits from membership. The EU exporting goods to other EU countries is made easier and, they also argue, so is the flow of immigrants, most of whom are young and keen to work, fuels economic growth and helps pay for public services. They believe Britain's status in the world would be damaged by leaving and that UK membership is much more secure as part of the 28 nation club. (Did they forget the bombings and murders?)

So would Britain be better in or out?

That depends on a person’s outlook, or what they believe is important. Leaving the EU is a massive move. Far more important than who wins a general election. It will either set the nation free or condemn it to economic ruin. (Do you believe a small, limited, close to home government is best? Or do you believe a large, central government can best govern a nation or group of nations?)

A similar movement is afoot in the USA. “Open Border” advocates desperately want globalization. They despise sovereignty. They want equality of results, not equality of opportunity. Why? It is much easier to control the “sheeple” that way, just like controlling all in Europe through the European Union.

The EU coming to USA = FU

Next, it will be the “American Union.” An “even closer union” of all countries in North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. All with a common currency; free movement; open borders; free health care; and the dilution, or elimination, of the United States Constitution. It will start with 5 or 6 countries and grow to 35. A population of one billion people living on 16.4 million miles of land and islands. “We the People” must decide on this in the November General Election. A Clinton presidency will ensure this “AU.” The Muckster is ahead of this issue. It will happen in a New York Minute -- behind closed doors. That’s the HRC way!

In 20/20: A Clear Vision for America, I urged the US to leave the UN and the UN to leave the US. I encourage the UK to Brexit. It is the same principle.

God bless our British brothers and sisters. Give them guidance to make the right decision. God Bless us all and God Bless America. Our country, our Constitution, our culture, our civilization and our children need you now more than ever.

Bill-Buckler-Bio-01-1Finally, an author who brings you solutions, instead of problems.

Americans have lost faith in their overreaching federal government. “We the People” don’t need to be overregulated or have their taxes misspent. Americans are victims of a crumbling economy, high prices and stagnant wages. They view government as bloated and politicians as corrupt.

They do not trust the leadership at any level. They see politicians of both parties as self-centered narcissists whose only objective is re-election. The author is like you, with one principal difference and 20 reasons for optimism. His “Vision” of America is “clear.” It is a vision of the Constitution and America the way it could be, the way it should be. The author’s eyesight is twenty-
