I have worked in many areas of Texas during my work management process consulting career. I have been to many of the areas that are currently flooded by “Harvey." Extraordinary people are performing extraordinary feats of bravery and dedication for their neighbors, known and unknown. Seems they have forgotten the uncivility and political correctness that has plagued American and Texans all. I wrote about this in Chapter 18 of 20/20: A Clear Vision for America.
I wrote “Our Constitution versus Their Shariah” in my last article to focus on the establishment, of yes, Political Islam in an unfree society ruled by strict shariah law. Yes, I wrote and unfree society. Many Americans see our freedom slowly slipping away. But did anyone see its complete departure? I wrote why Shariah is fundamentally incompatible with the “our” Constitution and the basic underpinnings of “our” American way of life. I am not trying
Americans are being faced with a paradox of epic proportion. Is it possible for a country built on a unique Constitution co-exist with another set of law; a law that is in direct contradiction to the structure set in place in 1789? Many say it is folly to even think of such an absurdity. Others, not only don’t know Shariah, they don’t know our own Constitution. To them it is just words; a conundrum for
“Where the heck did all of these people come from Stella?” “I don’t know Sam. The caterer says we’re running out of canapés and there aren’t enough tables, chairs, place settings, food and drinks for all of these extra people.” “How many people were invited to the wedding Stella?” “Amy had 250 on the original invitation list. Then, some people were offended, and there was a lot of pressure to invite more guests. We increased
I don’t like a lot of what I’m seeing in America today. Many of my readers have told me they don’t like what they see either. America has always been a generous country. The American people have always been kind and helpful to one another. Lending a helping hand was common. What is different? What has changed? Why have we let this happen to us? Yes, we can be a strong country with citizens who are
What do our senior citizens owe our children? Should seniors do nice things for their children? Should seniors leave America a better place than they found it? Are any of us responsible for the future? A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in. This Greek Proverb means many things to many people, but what does this Greek adage really mean? Is there a deeper meaning?
The federal government is dysfunctional, ineffective and bloated. Will you work with me to make America prosperous once more? Will you stand with me to build a bright future for our kids and grandkids? Will you share Our Vision for America? Visualize a heavy golden chain with more than 320 million links stretching from sea to shining sea. Imagine each link is an American in this 320 million plus link chain. Each link holds our country together.
I’ll never forget that sunny Saturday morning, June 7, 1958 when a group of tanned, chiseled candidates stood to take the oath of Officer in the United States Marine Corps. I still remember solemnly swearing with pride to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. That oath was taken with joy in a nation filled with an enthusiastic spirit, full of energy and excitement over the bountiful prospects that lie ahead.
Do you feel as I do? Are we running out of time? Do you think we are slowly slipping into a “Black Hole” of government corruption, media bias and immorality? We are allowing special interest groups, lobbyists and who knows who, to dictate the course of our republic while our Constitution is shredded and violated every day, week, month and year. Yes, we talk about it, complain about it, write about it, and then go
