Our Children’s Children

“A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”

This Greek Proverb means many things to many people. Does it mean seniors should do nice things for their children, or is there a deeper meaning? Does it mean we are responsible for the future? Perhaps this interpretation leads us to what should happen in America today.

A country grew great two hundred and thirty-nine years ago when our founders planted the mighty shade trees of Constitution, ownership, entrepreneurship, freedom and liberty for their children’s children to enjoy.

Unfortunately, those mighty shade trees are in peril. For the past one hundred years, corrupt politicians and greedy bankers have been slowly, but surely, cutting down these shielding shade trees of Constitution, ownership, entrepreneurship, freedom and liberty. They have stripped away the branches of the Constitution and replaced them with lawlessness for an “anything goes” philosophy that guarantees power and certain reelection.

Stripped away is the ownership of the “fruits of our labor” by devaluing our currency and placing the republic in crushing debt. One shiny silver dollar was worth 100 pennies 100 years ago. Now it has the value of four tarnished copper pennies. Some experts say only three.

Stripped away is our freedom and independence as we fry in the hot sun of tyranny. A stick in soft dust might as well draw our borders. Our elected officials see no value in controlling who is in our country. Furthermore, they expect us to provide anyone and everyone with free food, shelter, education and a superb standard of living.

Politicians we have elected, and adored, have instead planted the scrawny, leafless trees of discontent and division. They utilize the tactics of deception, deflection, deceit, dishonesty and duplicity to divide us. They have fallen in love with the hyphen, an instrument they utilize to conquer us, as they know dividing Americans grants them enormous power.

We are leaving this legacy for our children’s children.

Bill Muckler Our Children's Children Support2AAEAAQAAAAAAAAVfAAAAJDQ5YTVhZTJkLTI1ZWYtNDhlMi04NjQwLTViNjczM2M2ODQwNwAmericans have been brainwashed to follow the rhetoric of the political party. They condition us to owe them allegiance. They program us to gaze upon our deified politicians and worship them and their ideology. Adoration of politicians is truly a form of insanity. Americans must stop this ideological warfare. Why? We must stand together, not divided. We all want the same thing. We all want prosperity. We all want a better life for our families. We all want a bright future for our children and grandchildren. We all want the United States be a strong country that will keep us safe.

Citizens of both political parties go to work together. We work together. We go out to dinner together. We pray together. Americans of both political parties stand and sing the National Anthem together at sporting events. We all root for the home team no matter our political affiliation. So why do we fall for the politician’s promises and their political persuasion?

We are neighbors who live next door to each other. If one of our children is injured, do we say ‘I’m not going to help that child; his parents belong to the other political party.’ No, we rush to their aid. Then, if we are able to do all these things together, why can we not stand together to make America whole once again.

Americans have to realize the adoration of politicians is insanity. They divide us for their own political gain and power as they condition us to believe their specific idiotic ideology is best for us. Most politicians do not believe what they themselves profess. We continue to vote for them and we continue to receive the same result. This is the definition of insanity. We vote for one side, or the other, and both sides run up the national debt at the speed of light, while they live a life of splendor in the nations’ capital pulling in three to four times the wages average citizens earn. Moreover, the morning after election, they do not go to work for us, they start campaigning and fundraising for their own next election.

Bill Muckler Our Children's Children SupportAmerica is an ideological battle. Hate is consuming us. Congress is now moving to expand this insanity ever further. Class envy is part of it. The terror against anyone who dissents from Political Correctness is part of it. We see it in China, North Korea, Russia and the Middle East. Terrorists want to kill Americans and tolerance is mandated, as they cut off the heads of our fellow citizens. We must recognize political correctness will destroy our republic and leave no hope for our children and grandchildren.

Government authorities watch us on camera anywhere and everywhere. They subject us to searches at airports and other venues in the name of security. Nonetheless, we do not have the ability to screen potential threats in the name of political correctness.

The barren trees of oppressive taxation and overreaching regulations rule the land as congressional feudal lords rake in power and money.

The result of the trees of Constitution and opportunity being hacked away is a very bleak outlook for future generations. We have a President who tells us if he disagrees with Congress, he will use his pen and his phone to “do the right thing.” We have a Congress that seldom shows up for work and when they do, they do not get anything done. Washington is dysfunctional and bloated, and our innocent children and their children will pay the price for this madness.

Why do we do this? We do it to keep corrupt politicians in office so they can ransom our future as we lose our freedom and our culture.”

They have left confusion and discontent for future generations. Good government is one that acts for the future. It acts for all who will be there in that future. We must implement a Clear Vision for America for our children’s children.

Finally, an author who brings you solutions, instead of problems.

Americans have lost faith in their overreaching federal government. “We the People” don’t need to be overregulated or have their taxes misspent. Americans are victims of a crumbling economy, high prices and stagnant wages. They view government as bloated and politicians as corrupt. They do not trust the leadership at any level. They see politicians of both parties as self-centered narcissists whose only objective is re-election. The author is like you, with one principal difference and 20 reasons for optimism. His “Vision” of America is “clear.” It is a vision of the Constitution and America the way it could be, the way it should be. The author’s eyesight is twenty-twenty.
