Colleges Lock Free Speech Doors
The Muckster seems to recall from his college days that “critical thinking” was a desired trait. “Open your minds to all areas of thought,” we were taught. That was in the days of darkness on college campuses. Progressive socialist college professors were not yet fully tenured.
Now, in the days of enlightenment, college socialists have a battle cry:
That’s what a Columbia University student was telling passers-by on campus as he handed out flyers for an event calling for a new socialist order in response to Donald Trump’s presidency. A new method of intolerance. The first step in destroying the Constitution – eliminate free speech – on campuses, everywhere.
Fun and Games on the Left Coast
The University of California, Berkeley, the self-proclaimed “home of the free speech movement” gave conservatives a Nazi style beat-down. Violent far left rioters and goons shut down a speaking engagement by Milo Yiannopoulos. His transgression: being a gay conservative. Horrors. Can’t let that happen. Can’t let someone escape from the Gulag and speak freely. Not on our intolerable watch.
These fascist thugs started fires, assaulted women, beat Trump supporters unconscious, raided ATMs, shot off fireworks and destroyed private property. Sounds like real heroes of the “Party.” Since then we have found evidence that Democrat donor and Billionaire George Soros was behind the UC Berkeley riots.
The Nazi wannabees that helped organize the violent shut down of the Milo Yiannopoulos event at the University of California, Berkeley were backed by a progressive charity that is in turn funded by George Soros, a major labor union and several large companies.
UC Berkeley gave an award to George Soros in 2004. In announcing the award the University of California Berkeley reported on Soros’s past as having a “personal experience with fascist and totalitarian regimes.”
“Might does not make right” . . . was the blunt critique of the Bush Administration that billionaire financier and munificent philanthropist George Soros delivered to a packed audience at UC Berkeley. No, money makes right according to George.
The Hungarian-born Soros, whose personal experience with fascist and totalitarian regimes, is pursuing his decades-long approach to promote open societies around the world. He has now turned his attention on his own adopted democracy by shutting down free speech. Next on the agenda – the Constitution.
“America’s recent foreign policy justifying preemptive strikes by America has undermined the legitimacy of U.S. supremacy,” Soros said, “while the branding of American protesters as unpatriotic undermines the foundations of our democracy.” Is this twisted thinking, or warped, or both?
Soros was also reportedly behind the airport protests. Soros was behind 50 Groups involved in the ‘Women’s Protests’ the day after the inauguration. Before that, Soros was connected to the groups demanding election recounts after the November 8th election and Soros money was funding more protests during these efforts. “DCLeaks” released information showing Soros funded Black Lives Matter protests across the country.
Soros is connected to every major protest since the election and many, if not all leading up to the election, including Black Lives Matter.

Up the Left Coast in Seattle
Raucous protests to stop the Milo Yiannopoulos appearance at the University of Washington several days earlier resulted in one person in the crowd being shot in the stomach.
Meanwhile, Back in New York
The Barnard-Columbia Socialists, which includes students from Columbia and its sister college, participated in daylong campus protests and demonstrations against Trump’s executive order on immigration to promote their similar event, “The Case for Socialist Organization.”
The socialists’ flyer called for students to “Unite!” and “fight Trump to defend immigrants from deportation, safeguard abortion and reproductive rights, stand up against racist police violence, protect public education, preserve our unions, and save the planet.” Wow. They covered the waterfront, didn’t they?
An open-forum discussion was held that meant anyone could raise a hand and bring up any topic they wished, but the purportedly anti-Trump meeting turned into a discussion of socialist and communist tactics. Attendees questioned whether previous activism against Trump and his boosters, including anti-feminist provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, had been violent enough to stop the “racist” and “anti-gay” president from turning into a fascist dictator. Whoa! Aren’t these bedwetters the fascist? See my previous articles and writings.
Columbia’s meeting had a distinct anti-capitalist air. Participants not only discussed how to organize more effectively, but warned each other to avoid the “pleasures of capitalism” and denounced the “racist Electoral College” that delivered the presidency to Trump. One unidentified student said the end goal was the “transition to communism.”
Several students chuckled when another said that aiming fireworks at campus buildings was effective. Widespread violence and property destruction occurred by alleged non-student protesters who set off fireworks, threw bricks and even pepper sprayed a Trump supporter. Those were the Soros paid protesters. Nice mix of anarchists, wouldn’t you say?
On the Barnard-Columbia socialist group’s official webpage
War, poverty, exploitation and oppression are products of the capitalist system, a system in which a minority ruling class profits from the labor of the majority. The alternative is socialism, a society based on workers collectively owning and controlling the wealth their labor creates.
We stand in the Marxist tradition, founded by Karl Marx and Frederick Engels, and continued by V.I. Lenin, Rosa Luxemburg and Leon Trotsky. In the spirit of this endorsement, the meeting room chalkboard displayed a misspelled quote attributed to the communist leader Lenin: “There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks when decades happens.”
“It’s kind of like when you throw a tantrum”
The socialists who participated in the campus protests also saw a bigger threat to America than the plain words of Trump’s immigration executive order would suggest, to say nothing of Trump’s decision to rescind a pro-LGBTQ executive order from his predecessor.
“If you do the research, no country that [Trump] has put a ban on . . . no immigrant, or refugee, from there has been the result of a terrorist attack,” a student who identified himself as Lucky Schreiner. “It seems like a bad solution to what may, or may not, be a problem according to the different sides . . . he’s just trying to appease his voters and keep promises.”
A father and young son passed the protesters. The son asked, “what is a protest?” The father answered, “it’s kind of like when you throw a temper tantrum.”
That person was correct. We have the democratic system to vote a president into office. People can whine all they want to, but this system is in place for a reason.

Finally, an author who brings you solutions, instead of problems.
Americans have lost faith in their overreaching federal government. “We the People” don’t need to be overregulated or have their taxes misspent. Americans are victims of a crumbling economy, high prices and stagnant wages. They view government as bloated and politicians as corrupt.
They do not trust the leadership at any level. They see politicians of both parties as self-centered narcissists whose only objective is re-election. The author is like you, with one principal difference and 20 reasons for optimism. His “Vision” of America is “clear.” It is a vision of the Constitution and America the way it could be, the way it should be. The author’s eyesight is twenty-twenty.
