You Might Still be a GOAT if . . .
If you read my previous article, “You Might be a GOAT if . . .” you know I am not a fan, nor a worshiper, of the political establishment. I’ve have predictably called out politicians for what they are: career oriented, unethical, self-serving, self-centered, egotistic, narcissistic, immoral, shady, corrupt vermin. They are on the bottom of my list of most despicable lifeforms.
My list of bottom feeders is as follows:
The final three are interchangeable and I may readily agree with anyone who wants to change the natural order of the three since they are interchangeable themselves. They typically bounce from one unskilled occupation to another.

Perhaps Thomas Jefferson said it best:
"I place economy among the first and most important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers to be feared. To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. If we run into such debts, we must be taxed in our meat and drink, in our necessities and in our comforts, in our labor and in our amusements. If we can prevent the government from wasting the labor of the people, under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy." — Thomas Jefferson
I wrote of the evils of career politicians in Chapter 15 “The Congress and Term Limits” of “20/20: A Clear Vision for America” where I exposed the dangers that lie ahead if we continue to elect the same crooks and continue to parrot their self-serving rhetoric.
Stop voting for these people. Don’t be a GOAT! Don’t let them brainwash you. If you do, you might be a GOAT (Goofy Obama Adoration Team) team member.
You Might be a GOAT if:
You believe the political establishment will make your life better by making someone else’s life worse.
You let the political establishment speak for you.
You support mob rule and violence as acceptable methods of protest.
You need a safe space.
Listening to opposing points of view threatens your safe space.
You think of yourself as a victim of society.
You signed up to protest but never registered to vote.
You still live with your parents, but you get paid to protest.
You protested Donald Trump but never independently researched either candidate.
You were for Hillary but preferred Bernie.
You wanted a woman President only because she is a woman.
You support Democrats only because you have been told Republicans are sexist, racist or whatever.
You are still covered by your parent’s health and auto insurance.
Your parents pay for, or subsidize, everything in your life.
You have been collecting unemployment for 6+ months.
You don't know how laws are passed.
You don’t how the House of Representatives or the Senate work.
You can’t explain how a bill is passed.
You think a $20 trillion national debt is no big deal.
You think one percent economic growth is a big deal.
You don’t know that the Normandy Beach in 1944 was not a safe space when 18-year-old Americans stormed the beach at Normandy into almost certain death.
You are in complete denial of “all of the above.”
You will deflect “all of the above” to someone else or to another political party just to justify your denial of reality.
You think I am aligned with the political establishment.

Finally, an author who brings you solutions, instead of problems.
Americans have lost faith in their overreaching federal government. “We the People” don’t need to be overregulated or have their taxes misspent. Americans are victims of a crumbling economy, high prices and stagnant wages. They view government as bloated and politicians as corrupt.
They do not trust the leadership at any level. They see politicians of both parties as self-centered narcissists whose only objective is re-election. The author is like you, with one principal difference and 20 reasons for optimism. His “Vision” of America is “clear.” It is a vision of the Constitution and America the way it could be, the way it should be. The author’s eyesight is twenty-twenty.
