Press 2 for Death
America is divided over many issues, mostly political, but some cultural. Of course, the cultural issues are typically linked to politics such as the phenomenon I have forewarned for more than twenty years: political correctness. Political correctness did not start in the United States in the 1990s. Progressive politicians adopted “political correctness” it from their leader, Karl Marx, in his “Communist Manifesto” written in 1848.
Press 1 for English
One of the most devious methods imposed on the unsuspecting American population was the tenet that English is not the official language of the United States of America. Many people are surprised to learn that the United States has no official language. As one of the major centers of commerce and trade, and a major English-speaking country, many assume English is the country's official language. But despite efforts over the years, the United States has no official language.
An amendment to the Constitution is proposed in Congress at almost every session, to adopt English as the official language of the United States. Other efforts have attempted to take the easier route of changing the U.S. Code to make English the official language. As of this writing, the efforts have not been successful.
"United We Stand, Divided We Fall"
As we are painfully learning, the best method to control citizens is to keep them divided. The Progressives know this well. This well-known phrase used in various mottos, is most often utilized to inspire unity and collaboration. Its core concept lies in the collectivist notion that if individual members of a certain group with binding ideals – such as a union, coalition, confederation or alliance – work on their own instead of as a team, they are each doomed to fail and will all be defeated.

The Land of Many Languages
What better way to divide Americans than to promote the many languages of foreign nationals. In 20/20: A Clear Vision for America I wrote of the positive benefits of speaking English and the many costs to our country and its non-English speaking residents whose inability to speak English is not only detrimental to their education and success but can be dangerous as well.
Press 2 for Death
Some people have potentially deadly reactions to certain foods, like peanuts. In Massachusetts, a young girl almost died because of immigrants working in restaurants that don’t speak English. The incident began when a father sat down to have lunch with his 6-year-old daughter when suddenly she started violently vomiting and breaking out with hives. The father rushed her to the hospital just in time to save her life.
John Russo said that ever since his daughter was diagnosed with a peanut allergy at the age of 18 months, he and his wife, Elissa, have been vigilant about explaining her condition at restaurants, and never leaving the house without an epinephrine pen in case of accidental exposure.
When his wife used Panera’s computerized online system to order from the Natick location she specifically noted in two places that the grilled cheese was for a child with a peanut allergy.
But, thanks to one of Obama’s precious immigrants, the little girl’s grilled cheese sandwich had PEANUT BUTTER on it! Who would order peanut butter on a grilled cheese sandwich? A manager at the Natick cafe apologized to him profusely and blamed the incident on a “language” issue. Conceivably, an employee with limited English could have seen the notation of “peanut” as an instruction to add it to the grilled cheese rather than to keep it out of the sandwich. Language can be dangerous indeed. Incredible. But truly dangerous.
The Folly of Multiculturalism and Multilinguals
It is folly to think non-English speaking students can fully succeed in America. To not mandate English be taught and spoken in school, is in fact the cruel prison sentence of poverty. To instruct in languages other than English is to prevent young students from assimilating in the American culture and economy. This does not preclude students from speaking another language away from school, or that study of other languages should not permitted.
International and local students typically choose to study English courses. Career prospects are strengthened by the proficient and skilled use of the English language. English opens countless opportunities for those who learn English. There are many good reasons to study English, which is the most widely spoken language. English is spoken in many parts of the world and is often the common language of people whose first language is not English.
In business and matters of trade, the English language is the common currency. With English, a person can conduct business transactions, write and respond to documents such as emails, memos, contracts, agreements and reports. Career prospects and employment opportunities increase for fluent English speakers as companies seek after them. The purpose of getting an education is to be able to work to build a prosperous life.
As the world becomes closer and more connected, opportunities to travel and explore different parts of the world become more available. Travelers who speak English enjoy safe and pleasant interactions when they have a command of English.
English is the language most commonly spoken by academics worldwide. Important research tends to be conducted, composed and published in English. Scholars who have knowledge of English find sharing their ideas and findings with their peers globally is better facilitated by their mastery of the English language.
Technology is vital and crucial to the economy. English is often the language utilized by those who are technologically minded and ambitious. Those who master English make an investment in their education, and acquire great value for their effort.

Finally, an author who brings you solutions, instead of problems.
Americans have lost faith in their overreaching federal government. “We the People” don’t need to be overregulated or have their taxes misspent. Americans are victims of a crumbling economy, high prices and stagnant wages. They view government as bloated and politicians as corrupt.
They do not trust the leadership at any level. They see politicians of both parties as self-centered narcissists whose only objective is re-election. The author is like you, with one principal difference and 20 reasons for optimism. His “Vision” of America is “clear.” It is a vision of the Constitution and America the way it could be, the way it should be. The author’s eyesight is twenty-twenty.
