Working Women Who Never Took a Day Off

I love women. I think everyone knows that from what I have written in the past. Take my mom for instance, she never took a day off. She is numbered among the greatest women on this planet. She is a “Marine Mom.” There are none better.

Why do women have to take a day off to prove they are somebody we already know? Could there be a political agenda behind this “International Women’s Day?” The March 8, 2017, “Day Without a Woman” was apparently inspired by the sponsored and paid for by George Soros, and other leftists, January 21st march to protest newly inaugurated President Donald Trump’s divisive campaign and his disparagement of women, minorities and immigrants. In signs and shouts, they mocked what they characterized as Trump’s lewd language and sexist demeanor.

It was All About Losers Who Lost

Obama received fifty-five percent of the female vote. Hillary Clinton got 54 percent. The difference has been about eight percent over the last nine presidential elections. So, why the beef? Was it because 64 percent of non-college educated white women voted for Trump? Was it because three percent of non-college educated black women voted for Trump? Or was it because 25 percent of non-college educated Hispanic women voted for Trump? Black, Hispanic and other non-white women always back Democrat candidates in far greater numbers. I think they took out their anger on the wrong person. It was Clinton who let them down. What did Obama do for them?

A Day Without A Woman

The organizers saw a good thing in the Women's March on Washington so they launched a new campaign. They encouraged women in the USA and worldwide to strike from work in protest at the economic inequality, prejudice and insecurity faced by women in the workplace. The Democrats hypocritical hold on minority women is a modern-day phenomenon. Tell enough lies and uneducated people will buy into it, especially if they want to continue to receive benefits from the evil rich people. It is the Democrats that underpay women. See Clinton and Warren.

A Day With Women

Ninety-nine percent of America’s female population did not buy into this fraudulent event. They didn’t buy, because they weren’t paid to march. But what of the women who didn’t think taking a day off was a good idea?

NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson who took command of the International Space Station on April 9, when she became the first woman to command the station twice did not take the day off.

Whitson oversees the two other crewmembers: French astronaut Thomas Pesquet and Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy.

It matters little whether men or women have the more brains; all we women need to do to exert our proper influence is just to use all the brains we have.  — Florence R. Sabin

Florence Sabin earned her bachelor's degree from Smith College in 1893. She taught high school mathematics in Denver for two years and zoology at Smith for one year to earn enough money for her first year of tuition at the National Library of Medicine in 1923. She attended the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as one of fourteen women in her class. There is no evidence that anyone ever gave her an advantage and no evidence she ever took a day off.

Opha Mae Johnson became the first woman Marine. Johnson enrolled for service on August 13, 1918 along with 300 women Marines. They took over stateside clerical duties from battle-ready Marines who were needed overseas. All Women Marines look forward to serving, while never forgetting the women who made this future possible. And none of them took a day off to protest the hardships of military life.

Mother Teresa was the founder of the Order of the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic congregation of women dedicated to helping the poor. Considered one of the greatest humanitarians of the 20th century, she was canonized as Saint Teresa of Calcutta in 2016. She never took a day off and never complained about her living conditions or her salary.

Check out a very few of the dedicated women scientists who have made the world a better place. They never took money to march or bought into a so-called horrible life. They just strived to help others. I doubt that any of these women ever took a day off.

On May 4, 2016, I wrote of the miraculous escape of Sister Sally from a horrible death at a Yemen compound run by five nuns of the religious order founded by Mother Teresa. Their day began as usual, with Mass, breakfast, and prayer. Yet it soon turned into 90 minutes of terror, as armed members of ISIS bent on killing the nuns and their volunteer aides stormed the facility.

Sixteen people died that day, including four nuns: Sisters Anselm, Marguerite, Regina, and Judith. (Members of the Missionaries of Charity are typically identified only by their first names.) Salesian Rev. Tom Uzhunnalil, a priest living in the compound, was kidnapped by the ISIS gunmen and is still missing.

Sister Sally survived to tell the story. Her only regret was that she lived. She lived to tell the story, not take a day off to complain or join a protest march.

Brainwashed or Stupid? Or No Sense of Reality?

Democrat leftists have programmed women into thinking aborting their daughters is the “right thing to do” since it is their body. These same leftists are responsible for the dumbing down of American children (both girls and boys). These Democrat leftists don’t seem to mind that women all over the world live in poverty or Burkas, or are sold into slavery by Islamist pirates. I hope and pray that all women will find love and happiness in America.

Finally, an author who brings you solutions, instead of problems.

Americans have lost faith in their overreaching federal government. “We the People” don’t need to be overregulated or have their taxes misspent. Americans are victims of a crumbling economy, high prices and stagnant wages. They view government as bloated and politicians as corrupt.

They do not trust the leadership at any level. They see politicians of both parties as self-centered narcissists whose only objective is re-election. The author is like you, with one principal difference and 20 reasons for optimism. His “Vision” of America is “clear.” It is a vision of the Constitution and America the way it could be, the way it should be. The author’s eyesight is twenty-twenty.
